We are pleased to announce that we have recently co-opted Mr Michael Daniel as Vice President of the SIAE Executive Committee. Mr Daniel brings with him a wealth of experience and professional knowledge, combined with a passion to contribute to Singapore’s aerospace community.

Mr. Michael Daniel is an International Aviation Safety Consultant with over 35+ years’ experience having travelled over 100 countries. He has also served as Senior Policy Manager, Credentialed Supervisory Safety Inspector and Accident Investigator for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Currently based in Singapore, he has written various conference articles and for various publications, and has managed a number of high profile projects for the transportation industry including Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreements (i.e. BASA MIP). In addition to being a designated inspector for various regulatory authorities, he also possesses in-depth experience as a technical advisor and has provided support for governments, Airlines, Manufacturing, MROs, Business Aircraft Operators, Leasing Companies, as well as Export/Import aircraft & engines, and holds FAA Maintenance Licenses with Inspection Authorization. He is also a recognised member of the following organisations: International Society of Air Safety Investigators (ISASI & AsiaSASI), Flight Safety Foundation, SAE International, Chartered Quality Institute & IRCA certificated Auditor, and Project Management Institute as an accredited Project Management Professional.

Mr Daniel graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a B.Sc. Aeronautics. He is also a licensed pilot, and previously served in the United States Marine Corps.
