It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of Mr Lim Chin Beng. Our deepest condolences to Arthur, Sharon and members of their families.
An icon of Singapore’s Aviation, Mr Lim was also Managing Director of Malaysia Singapore Airlines (MSA) and founding Managing Director of Singapore Airlines (SIA) who steered the airline to put Singapore on the world aviation.
Mr Lim has been a keen supporter of SIAE’s activities, being Guest of Honour of our Annual Dinner & Dance on several occasions. Following an illustrious career in the best airline in the world, he went on to Chair ST Aerospace and ASIAN Aerospace contributing further to anchor Singapore firmly as an aerospace hub of choice.
In 2015, he was conferred an Aviation Pioneer during SIAE 45th Anniversary. A great boss and statesman dearly missed by the aviation community in Singapore. May he Rest in Peace.
