FAA International Partnership to Improve Aviation Safety Ms. Margaret (Peggy) Gilligan (Federal Aviation Administration)Abstract Aviation is at a critical juncture. More and more people are flying. The passengers rely on aviation providers for a flight that is both safe and efficient. As a result of the success of this industry, the question facing aviation safety officials is simple but the answer is complex: “With aviation safety at record levels, how do we raise the bar even more?” The answer to that question has several components. Maintenance. Training. Professionalism. Creating agreements with our international partners to cast the net of aviation safety to the four corners of the globe. |
